Coach Vladi

Vladi is a career swim coach with 40 years of experience. He was the Olympic Swim Club Director and Head Coach for the Soviet Union; his swimmers attended the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Atlanta, and Sydney. He had 2 Olympic medalists in the 1988 & 1992 Summer Olympics. He has had 3 swimmers in the Junior National finals and 12 age group swimmers nationally ranked in the top 16.

He is an expert in Advanced Teaching and Coaching Techniques for all age swimmers and in Olympic Games preparation techniques. He has extensive experience in building world class swim teams from the ground up including gathering young swimmers, developing these swimmers to reach their full potential, ultimately reaching the international elite level.

He has a tremendous sense of family and community loyalty by building relationships with his swimmers and families, by coaching his athletes as individuals. His swimmers do extremely well in a small group environment where he can personalize the workouts to align with the swimmers talents and work ethic. Each swimmer is coached to effectively strengthen their skills. As the GWSC Associate Head Coach he fosters the talent and training from the youngest swimmer all the way to his most experienced swimmer. Many of his swimmers have become career coaches.

Vladi is a lifetime member of the America Swim Coaches Association and regularly attends World Coaching Conventions. He has been the head coach in Southern California at Green Valley Association Swim Team, Fountain Valley Aquatics Swim Team, Lakewood Aquatics Swim Team, Orange County Riptide Aquatics Club, and Long Beach City College for both men and women.
